Once Eric & Craig were pardoned, we went to dinner at DiRitos Italian Restaurant. I ordered a half-size bowl of pasta, but got a full-size instead and couldn't finish it.
Afterwards we had ice cream cones (Michael had a shake). Biking makes us very hungry!
Last night we bid farewell to the Durrys, the Tinstmans and Megan. Safe travels and many thanks for joining us!
The Keegan crew slept in this morning, then Michael cooked another delicious breakfast. Afterwards we cleaned up ourselves and the lodge and prepared for departure. I hated the thought of leaving the lodge...but mostly hated the idea of saying goodbye to Lauren, Marcus and Stacey. What fun it was spending time with them!
After checking out, Michael and I rode down the hill to meet Eric. Lauren, who stayed behind to return the lodge keys, yelled encouragement as she passed us. Gotta love it!
Our 12 mile mostly downhill bike ride ended very quickly. Luckily, we were able to check into our hotel early. Marc & Stacey had dropped off my bags in Craig's room. He met me with the bags upon my arrival.
Temperatures have been rising now that we're over the mountains. We were glad to be in an air-conditioned room.
For lunch we went to Pizza Madness on Main Street. We all enjoyed what we ordered.
After lunch, Craig & Eric went to jail....the Colorado Correctional Facility to be exact. They were impressed with their self-guided tour. They especially liked the cost - $6.

Our concerns about 100 degree temperatures caused us to make a monumental decision...begin our daily bike rides at 5 am. I know I'm not going to like getting up at 4 am, but I think I can get over that dislike if I consider the alternative.
