We all slept in this morning - yay! Being a champion late sleeper...Anne-Renee slept the longest. Wish I could do that. Once my eyes are open, I usually can't get back to sleep. Without prior planning, Michael, Eric and I ended up eating breakfast together.
After breakfast, we all went our separate ways. I spent some time in the pool and hot tub, then went for a massage. It was one of the most unusual yet effective deep tissue massages I've ever experienced. The massage therapist and I talked almost the entire time. Very interesting~
Michael did laundry and ran errands. Anne-Renee...did I mention that she slept late...ran errands as well. Eric checked things off his "to do" list.
Anne-Renee has been using Lesa's car to SAG. We can't thank Lesa enough for her generosity. Hopefully we can repay the favor some day. Thanks, Lesa!
Our hotel is next to Walmart, so we all made a trip there. Needed to restock lots of things...especially food, sunscreen and mosquito repellant (pesky buggers).
My sister-in-law, Alicia, arrived today in time to enjoy Happy Hour. Alicia will inherit the SAG from Anne-Renee. They will overlap by one day. We are extremely lucky!
Before dinner we went to see the Driftwood statues at Rawlins Western Lodge. We enjoyed a Thai dinner at Anong's. After dinner we walked to the train depot and goofed around a bit. We played some of the instruments and took a pioneer picture.
Michael was interested in seeing a church up the hill from the restaurant. St. Joseph's was a neat Catholic church. As we were walking back to the car, several of us spotted a deer. Eric decided to act as paparazzi. He was able to get very close to the deer without spooking her. How do we know it was a her? Alicia is our resident wildlife expert. We're going to learn so much about wildlife this week!
By the way...if you would like to donate to a worthy cause in memory of Bob, below is a list of places he would have approved.
