June 6th - Cambridge to New Meadows

  • Breakfast at Cambridge House B&B was delicious...Farmer’s Casserole; lots of fruit, homemade waffles with homemade pear compote and rhubarb jam and homemade whipped cream.  The best!

Goodbye to Tom, Tim and Sean - parting in such sweet sorrow.  We thoroughly enjoyed their company while they were here.  After breakfast, they drove off headed for California.  Thanks for coming, Guys - it was fun cycling with you!

Denise is amazing!  She is able to provide us with timely (she always seems to know where to park for the next stop) and superb SAG-ging.  In her RV she has enough food to feed an army.  We are the cycling army!

Lovely ride today except for the constant traffic – had to really concentrate on the cars whizzing by us at 65+ miles per hour.  A scary situation to say the least.  We accomplished 2,300 ft. total of climbing today.

Gloria increased her respect for gravel – turns out that if you just touch the gravel with your bike tires, you can fall.  No damage done...thank goodness.

Continuing to see and meet bikers racing – they are not allowed to ask for support of any kind (including food). Denise always offers and sometimes they take it.  A woman won the race last year.
