Marcus and Stacey left after breakfast with Gloria this morning. Thanks for giving us a great excuse to go on the bourbon tour!
Today was scheduled to be a perfect day for riding. The temperature prediction was low 60's to low 80's, and it was. While the chances of rain ranged from zero to 15 %, it appears that we came close to getting all 15%. Luckily the rain was never hard and the cloud cover kept the temperatures down.
Today we used the Maps.me app to plot our way from Bardstown to Harrodsburg. Once again Maps.me did an outstanding job. There were very few cars on the roads we took all the way to Harrodsburg. That may have been because the route provided was such a perfect route, or it may have been simply because today was Sunday. The hills were almost all gentle rolling hills with just a few exceptions of very steep inclines that weren't very long.
Several of us saw a deer bounding across a hillside for maybe a hundred yards. It was quite impressive to see how high a deer naturally jumps when running across the field.
Today was a day of goodbyes. Karen and Debbie said goodbyes as the bicyclists were getting ready to leave. It was great to spend Saturday with you!

Today was the first day that Dan and Margie, Paula and Steve, and Kathy rode with us. They all turned out to be exceptional riders and outstanding companions. Bi Bi and Ron assisted with the sagging. We were delighted that so many wonderful people were able to join our ride today.
We stopped for lunch at a church along the way. The last 2 people were just leaving church after morning services when we arrived, but they told us we were welcome to use the parking lot or the covered entrance to eat lunch as it was just beginning to rain.

We arrived in Harrodsburg in a light drizzle, but still enjoyed the quiet roads and pleasant scenery. We had an excellent dinner at a local Mexican restaurant.
Tomorrow will come soon enough and it's now time to get some sleep. Another great day comes to a close. We have been so incredibly lucky to have so many good people join us on our trip, both riders and SAGgers. We are extremely grateful for all of them.
